Q: I’ve been hired by a Reserve unit and applied for PALACE CHASE, but my application was denied…

A: RegAF (AFPC and/or SAF) is the gatekeeper for PALACE CHASE and must make decisions in the best interest of manning in each particular pilot community. Have your commander engage AFPC functional for feedback on PALACE CHASE denials and reach out to the PCC on advice for wording on future PC submissions and the way forward.

Q: I’m having trouble getting gained by my unit (or a unit having trouble gaining a member)…

A: The PCC maintains connections with ARPC, recruiting, SG and other entities… please reach out to the PCC (see contact page) and we can assist with getting your affiliation over the hurdle.

Q: I’ve applied for PALACE CHASE (or been approved for PC) but haven’t yet been hired by a unit…

A: It’s ok to apply for or have an approved PC (it will be tentative without a unit), but you are required to secure a unit by 120 days prior to the separation date or your PC will be cancelled. Work with the PCC and check out the Mission Planning section in the PCC milrecruiter website for more information on finding units.

Q: I’m coming up on my separation, but my scroll isn’t yet approved…

A: The scroll is a congressionally mandated process that the PCC cannot expedite or influence. The PCC recommends starting the scroll process with your recruiter no later than 6 Months prior to your desired separation, but the sooner you start the process the better. You can always request to move your separation date, but AFPC does not typcially adjust separation dates for scroll purposes.

Q: I’m having trouble getting in contact with my recruiter…

A: The PCC maintains a great relationship with our hard-working recruiting team… if for some reason, communication is getting lost, please reach out to the PCC via email and we can help get you in touch. Occasionally, turnover or other instances may drive an issue where you have trouble contacting the recuiting team, but the PCC can help you.
